Rhiannon Lloyd Few people have experienced breakthroughs in bringing peace between warring tribes more than Dr Rhiannon Lloyd. Her reconciliaition work in Rwanda, Congo, and other countries is not only an inspiring story but also an essential aspect of bringing healing to those damaged nations. In this interview - over three parts - she describes her work among the tribes and militia of Africa and how God has used her to bring lasting reconciliation where there was once fear, hatred, and war. She goes on to explain how it is essential for us to have an understanding of the nature of God and his original intention for creation before we can truly see healing in the land. A Welsh speaker, she was brought up in a village on the mainland side of the Menai Straits. Though a traditional chapel goer in her early years, she found a fresh expression of faith in God through the Pentecostal movement. Her medical training, especially in psychiatry, brought her into contact with Christian counselling, through which she gained entry into reconcilliation work. Her passion is to see nations healed by God's power and though this has taken her around the world she longs to see this power released in her native Wales. |
In the first part Rhiannon gives some background to her reconciliation work in Africa. In the second part, Rhiannon explains a little about her beliefe that nations need healing and how that can be done. In the third and final part, Rhiannon applies what she learnt to Wales. |
